Motion

Light, Motion and Panning

Panning, and blur photography are two ways of taking pictures of motion, and things in motion. We tried both kinds. Panning is where you follow one subject by moving the camera, so that the subject is always in focus, while the background is blurry. Panning helps to shoot cars, or people walking. You can capture everything on your subject  in minute detail, while blurring the background, so the viewer focuses on what you want them to. It's a great way of making something stand out in a photograph.  Blur photography, or shaking the camera is done by picking a subject or scene and setting the camera to a slower shutter speed, and shaking it while taking the picture. The entire picture will look blurry or out of focus, but it creates some amazing shapes that you wouldn't normally see. We also tried blur photography with lights, making shapes and words, or just turning a simple light into something completely different.

Here are some examples of blur photography with lights.

  1. I really admire the way you captured the different motions of light. These images are very bright and intriguing. I like the contrast in color and the change in motion. I believe all these images are successful

  2. All sets of your pictures are really good. They really show that you knew what to look for in each picture. I especially like the light pictures because the designs are really cool.
